When we presented our first album with the MARTIN STREULE JAZZ ORCHESTRA in the Musikkeller of the Dampfzentrale in Bern in 1998, a friend of mine was sitting in the audience. She worked as a junior doctor at the Inselspital in Bern and loved going to concerts.
A few days later, I received a letter from her iwith this drawing in it.
Since then, I’ve been surprised and deeply touched by listeners’ reactions to my music from time to time, but this was definitely the first time.
