The piece is a setting of “Warmwalzwerk” by Swiss photographer Kurt Blum. It begins with the sun’s rays falling down like lightsabers and moves on to the dark machinations of the rolling mill in the lower part of the picture. The piece was premiered on August 3, 2013 as part of an exhibition of Kurt Blum’s work at the Kornhaus Bern.
