The current production of the MARTIN STREULE JAZZ ORCHESTRA and the Israeli singer Efrat Alony, CHAMBER SONGS, has been mixed!
After a long break between recording and mixing, the time has come. Together with Andy Neresheimer, who has already recorded the production in the Hardstudios in Winterthur, the 7 tracks of the program have been brought to the next level of development in two intensive mixing sessions.
It was a great challenge but also an incredible pleasure to shape the delicate structures in the ensemble and to stage them in the right way, but also to give the stunningly expressive and colorful voice of Efrat Alony the right presence.
As always, it was a great pleasure to work with Andy Neresheimer and to observe how quickly he grasped my compositional ideas in the music and implemented them consistently. His creativity and musical empathy, coupled with his extremely efficient way of working, had a decisive influence on the mixing process.
And again and again while creating the music, I felt a great admiration and deep gratitude towards the fantastic musicians of the orchestra. My music would be nothing without them!
They are now looking for a label and preparing for a release in early 2025.
